Creating and editing captions in Panopto

Creating video content with an accessibility-first mindset is quickly becoming a best practice in the digital era. From closed captioning to downloadable video transcripts, access for everyone is a top priority.

With Panopto you can either manually caption your session in the Editor or you have the ability to add ASR (automatic speech recognition) generated captions to your Panopto sessions. Currently ASR captions on Aalto Panopto work only on videos where language is english. Recommend method (when your video is in english) is importing automatic captions first and then editing the captions given as needed.
