SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS DURING COVID-19 SITUATION

Last updated: 18.128.20202021

In general, we encourage teachers to consider the necessity of using Exam - electronic exam service in a course, and recommend using MyCourses (Quizzes and Assignments) as the primary tool for remote exams.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IN UNIVERSITY'S FACILITIES

For health and security reasons, students must stay home if they are feeling symptoms of flu, or are otherwise feeling sick. The students can ask a disinfecting wipe from the lobby service for cleaning a keyboard and a mouse before the exam starts. There is also a wash-basin in the exam room Ok1y339a.

We strongly urge everyone to wear a face mask in workspaces, such as Exam room, where several people are present, unless you have a special medical reason for not wearing a mask. Identifying a students wearing a mask from an Exam video surveillance recording is challenging so one option for an examiner could be to arrive to the campus and verify students' identities at the exam room door.

If a student is unable to attend an exam in Exam room for health reasons, the teacher can extent the end date of the exam period in the Exam system, or offer some alternative assessment for the student.

CHANGES IN EXAM TIMES

The starting hours for exams, that take place in Undergraduate Centre, have unfortunately been reduced so that students can start an exam at 8 or 10 a.m. OR 12, 14, 16 or 18 p.m.

We recommend teachers to do 2-hour exams because they offer fluency and less disruption for students to complete exams.

EXAM ROOMS

All five Exam rooms are open but the ongoing COVID situation might affect the opening hours of the buildings. Please check the opening hours of a building before you make any reservation for an exam, especially with regard to Learning Centre.

The number of computers in use has been reduced to 3121.

CHANGES IN ACCESS TO THE BUILDINGS

If you arrive to do an exam in Undergraduate Centre, please use only the doors  – 1F, 1M or 1X to entry the building.
