Remote work guidelines at CS department

The guidelines for remote work at CS department are:

  1. One should not/need not come to the department, unless there is a reason. Remote work is still the recommended choice. However, if remote work causes inconvenience or you need to use the facilities in CS building, working at the department is also allowed (cf. the remote work recommendations by the Finnish government and the Aalto University).
  2. If you choose to work at your office, please mark in Lapa prior to your arrival the hours you assume to be present. This is especially important if you share your office with others, but keeping the information updated is warmly recommended in any case. (See below more precise information on what is Lapa and how it functions.)
  3. If there are too many persons in your office (the limit is marked next to the entrance and/or in Lapa), please agree yourselves who need to be present. As a general rule, tasks related to teaching have the highest priority.
  4. If there are recurrent and unsolvable problems with congestion in your office, inform or

What to do if you need to come to the office

Please see instructions (Finnish + English) on how to mark into Lapa that you are coming to your office.

At CS department, Noora Suominen de Rios is the booking office coordinator referred to in the instructions. You do not need to send an email to or any more now that we are using this system.
