You can only confirm a minor to your study right through a study plan of which education you have a study right.

You can search and place minors only to those parts of your study plan, where only minors are allowed. In these cases you can see the info text "search only for minors" in the selection assistant in your study plan.

When a minor which requires confirmation to your study right has been added to your study plan, you'll see a banner "The selection (name of the minor study module) can be confirmed to your study right". You can either confirm the selection by yourself or the selection needs to be confirmed by an administrative staff member. You can see if you can confirm the minor by yourself by clicking the "show" button in the minor study module. You can see this information also in the structure of the study plan: if you can confirm the minor by yourself, you can see the text "not confirmed" next to the minor study module. If an administrative staff member needs to confirm the selection, you see the text "no study right" next to the minor study module.

If the minor doesn't require separate application process, you can see the text "selection requires confirmation" under the minor study module in the selection assistant and also the show-button. You can confirm the minor to your study right by clicking the show-button. In the window which opens you can see the information of the minor which awaits confirmation and you can confirm the selection or close the window without making any changes. In the same window you can also see the other selections that you have confirmed to your study right before, if you have those. Please note that your bachelor's/master's degree programme needs to be confirmed to your study right before you can confirm the minor to that particular study right. When the selection has been confirmed, you see the text "selection confirmed to your study right" under the minor in the selection assistant.

If the study right to the minor requires a separate application process, you can see the text "requires a separate study right" under the minor in the selection assistant. You can also see the show-button, from where a similar window as in the case described above opens. However, in this window you can't confirm the minor by yourself, but you'll get a notification that the study right to the minor requires a separate application process. You can't yet apply the study right to a minor in Sisu. You can see below the notification also the instructions on how to apply for the study right to the minor, in case a member of the administrative staff has added those to the minor's information in Sisu.

How the confirmed minor shows in the study right

When the minor has been confirmed to your study right, you see the information of the confirmed minor from the show-button in the minor study module. You can also see all minors which have been confirmed to your study right from My profile-page's study rights-tab. Please note that you can delete a confirmed minor from your study plan, but it doesn't remove the selection from your study right. So you can't delete confirmed minors from your study right, only a member of the administrative staff can do this.
