Mentoring events are back! Mentoring Space is a weekly event run by Aalto’s computer science department postdocs and PhD students. Nordforsk has open several calls:
Grant Program to postdoctoral researchers in the field of technology to carry out a research project in a U.S. university of research center from 8 to 12 months.
HPY Research Foundation Grants 2020 call will open on 2 December. The foundation supports research studies of telecommunications technology, studies closely related to telecommunications business or the use of telecommunications. Research studies should be in the areas of technological, business or behavioral sciences. This year the foundation supports doctoral thesis students by awarding grants worth 3,000 euros each.
Osk. Huttunen Foundation and Clare Hall College of Cambridge University offer grants 6 -12 months research visit to Clare Hall College. The grant is for professors and docent-level researchers, and the call opens on 1 December 2019.

CS has a board game night every Thursday starting at 18:00 in A2 coffee room
Many games start at 18:00, but if you come by anytime you'll eventually find a game. Just drop by - if you are new someone will help you. Bring some games if you have them, otherwise we have plenty already.
