The visual artists' copyright organisation Kuvasto ry represents foreign and domestic fine artists. Kuvasto ry grants, on behalf of the artists they represent, the official copyright license for the reproduction of works of fine art, and agrees on the terms of use for the work. Based on a decision by the Ministry of Education, Kuvasto ry manages copyrights as far as resale royalties are concerned.
Kopiosto ry represents several Finnish right holders and grants the permission, for example, for photocopying copyrighted material. Photocopying royalties are used for authors' common purposes.
