There is the first IAA conference in university satellite missions and cubesat.

    I agree, we could write about the satellite itself, or the subsystems, like for example using e.g. a wireless internal communication system (via LEDs).

    I think the most interesting topic for Cubesat community would be innovative payloads and subsystems. I think we could have presentations about imaging spectrometer, electrostatic plasma brake (or electric solar sail) and radiation monitor for Cubesat platform. Radiation monitor could be good topic to present for Helsinki University people.

    Probably the Electrostatic Plasma Brake will be the hottest thing for cubesat community in our satellite. Suggested topics include space debris, Earth observation and innovative subsystems...

    My suggestion would be:

    how we're going to be using the electrostatic plasma brake

    vs.

    the new optical spectrometer & camera instrument

    vs.

    or just a general presentation on the many payloads going into the satellite, and how we are going to achieve this marvel of integrating them all into a whole? ;)

    Which one would be prefereable? I think at this stage, an abstract should be kept as general as possible :) Besides, the suggested topics are quite vague in the end...

    I can conjure up an abstract by already next monday.

    We should try to get 2 presentations for the conference. I think overall view about project and then one from Antti's suggestions.

    I agree with Anssi. Based on the VTT meeting I would suggest to have the other presentation about the spectrometer because the Estonian guys are going to talk about the plasma break anyway.

    So, I could try doing an abstract for a presentation about the project in general, with emphasis on the mission and the whole integrated system, while somebody else could do a presentation on the spectrometer itself.
