Sisu HELP

[in Finnish]

Version installed: 13 June 2022 at 17

The short summary below describes the changes introduced in Sisu’s new version from the viewpoint of Aalto University’s operations.
The version introduces improvements and new features to Sisu’s student, teacher and administrative staff interfaces.

New features and improvements

Students

An automatic timeout announcement warns if Sisu has not been used for two hours. The timeout will be reset when the Continue button of the announcement is clicked.

The student sees the total number of places 2112 in the study calendar’s implementation data. However, students are instructed at Aalto to check the correct number of places for the implementation at the teaching groups of the implementation when they are registering for the implementation. Improvements have been made to the teaching groups and events view of the course info sheet.

Teachers

The assessment of implementation cannot be saved for completion date in the future, a warning will be shown.

Administrative staff

Learning Services staff are able to make an application for atypical module in the student's studyplan. Credit transfer/Inclusion can be registered without an application made in Sisu.

Assessments of implementation, courses or study modules cannot be saved for completion date in the future, a warning will be shown.

Translations of terms

In the user interface the term university will be replaced with the term higher education institution following the OKSA terminology. Change will not be implemented if there is a need to differentiate university and university of applied science from each other.

Finnish terms for substition has been changed from vastaavuus to korvaavuus in study plans
