The scope of the Conference will have a broad basis, dealing with several aspects of ice engineering. Sessions on the topics listed below will be organized, but individuals or groups interested in special sessions reporting results on other themes or from large projects, are most welcome to contact the conference organizers. The conference topics include (but are not limited to):

• Ice dynamics and ice ridges
• Ice breaking ships
• Ice navigation and simulation
• Ice forecasting
• Ice classification rules
• Model scale testing in ice
• Risk analysis for maritime activities
• Structures in ice

Special sessions

Special sessions on several topics will be organized. More information on the special sessions will be announced later. Proposals on organizing special sessions are welcome. Participants interested in organizing a special session are kindly asked to submit a session-organizing plan to local organizing committee.
