Behavioural Synchrony Home
Welcome
Behavioural Synchrony is a project that investigates interpersonal interaction and communication. Our approach is to combine qualitative and quantitative methods to gain a deeper, and more accurate understanding of the phenomena related to interaction, such as conversations, music-making, dance, and movement improvisation.
We collect multi-modal data from interactions, usually combining optical motion capture, audio, video, and eye-tracking.
This project started as a collaboration between Aalto University and University of Helsinki, and has now expanded to include the University of Jyväskylä and Université Paris 8 and CNRS.
