Objective
To participate the Field Robot Event 2017 (FRE17) agricultural robot competition in 13th -16th June, at Harper Adams University, United Kingdom.
Summary of results
The team will travel to FRE17 and participate in the competition tasks with the robot, Unicorn.
The software has been written from the bottom to combine various on-board sensors and actuators into intelligent autonomous vehicle. The sensor information can be processed and used with Matlab Simulink model to control the robot and gather data.
The robot can navigate itself within and between maize rows both in simulation and in practice. It can position itself to avoid damaging the crops and recover from the unevenness of the ground. It can make turn in the end of the rows robustly and follow preplanned paths in the maize field.
